Longrow Red series, from the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown has matured its heavily peated single malt in casks that previously were held in Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon casks. After resting in the aforementioned wine casks for 13 years, this whisky's flavor profile is absolutely huge, with the smoky elements meeting the sweeter elements and working together brilliantly.
